This page explains the cookies and equivalent storage technologies used on hxtn.studio, the categories they fall into, and how to change your preferences at any time.

Necessary (always on)

A single localStorage entry (`hxtn-consent`) records your cookie choice — version, timestamp, and category preferences — so we don't ask again. This is functional and exempt from consent under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Article 11.7a). It contains no personal data and is not shared with any third party.

We respect the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals as an explicit opt-out — when either is enabled, no analytics is loaded and no banner is shown.

Analytics (optional, off by default)

Analytics scripts only load after you click Accept (or toggle Analytics on inside Preferences). Nothing in this category runs in the undecided state.

Google Analytics 4 — measures pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type. IP anonymisation is enabled. Google ad signals and ad-personalisation signals are disabled. Cookies set: `_ga`, `_ga_<container>`. Retention: 14 months.

Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly traffic analytics, cookieless by default. Aggregated visitor metrics only.

Vercel Speed Insights — anonymous Core Web Vitals measurement (LCP, INP, CLS). No individual visitor records are retained.

Managing your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings button in the site footer, or with the button below. On withdrawal, analytics scripts are unloaded immediately and any related cookies on this domain are cleared — no page reload required.

You can also disable cookies entirely via your browser settings. Doing so will not affect access to the site, but the consent record cannot be saved, so the banner will appear on every visit.

Updates to this policy

When we add a new processor or change what data leaves the page, we bump the consent version. Existing decisions are then invalidated and the banner re-prompts so you can decide under the new disclosure. Cosmetic changes do not trigger this.
