[ THE CHALLENGE ]

Bibliotheek AanZet wanted to transform the library into more than a place for books, a living civic space where citizens actively shape the future of their city. The challenge: create a participatory experience that feels genuinely meaningful, not like a suggestion box dressed in technology.

01

THE PREMISE

A library becomes a voting booth for the future, participatory, evolving, shaped entirely by the people who participate in the experience.

02

THE LIVING PORTRAIT

A final synthesis room that displays the city's collected dreams, a data portrait that is different every single day.

[ THE OUTCOME ]

Currently in development, scheduled to open in 2026. The installation will run for at least 5-10 years, collecting, translating and displaying the dreams of Dordrecht's citizens as a living work of participatory art.
